PCS 2’s: Fostering Independence & Exploring Possibilities

Our 2 year old program is designed to harness the joy, the chaos, and the beauty of being a two year old. Here at PCS, children have the opportunity to develop their independence, boost self confidence, foster language development, and flourish in creativity.

independence

Toddlers naturally push boundaries. As facilitators at PCS, we understand that this is a crucial part of self discovery and awareness. We are here to foster their curiosity and support them to learn about themselves and the world around them. Our thoughtful and gentle separation process paired with exciting school experiences letchildren feel safe, happy, & loved at school.

language

At this age, children begin to take interest in one another andit is our job as facilitators to support language, conversation, and introduction to letter & word recognitionto support this new stage of development.

social emotional learning

在这里PCS,we offer consistency, respect, and opportunities for toddlers to scaffold their social emotional needsby fostering relationships, expressing feelings, and encouraging independence. Children are supported and challenged to begin to notice one another and engage with their peers through materials and play.

The Arts

Open-ended art activities engage children’s senses, support cognitive & social emotional development, and multi sensory skills. Art increases the capacity of memory, attention, and concentration. Here at PCS,children have the opportunity to use real tools and a variety of mediums to make their creative visions come to life.
