请加入我们的一个节日的夜晚Fork in a beautiful farm-setting for live music, dancing, local farm fare by Lombardi's, pizza from Rolling in Dough, local beer and wine, and a silent auction featuring unique East End experiences. We will come together to honor community leader Joe Mc Kay and to celebrate and support a place-based, project-focused model of education for more children in this community．
Calling all future designers, artists, scientists, and Presidents: this week long camp explores the past, present, and future of our communities. In this camp, students will work with artists, archivists, activists, environmentalists, and urbanists to learn about the amazing career paths Long Islanders are utilizing to effect positive change. In collaboration with these individuals, students will brainstorm creative solutions to today's pressing challenges.
Senior members of Peconic Landing and children from Peconic Community School will come together for a day of intergenerational dance. After an informal talk and demonstration from the dancers’ repertoire, attendees will join together for an invigorating workshop in creative movement. All ages and abilities are welcomed to participate. In the afternoon there will be an improvisational dance by El Colegio del Cuerpo in the Sculpture Garden open to the public.
CREATE: A Maker Faire will highlight makers of all kinds from all over the tri-state area. From music-makers, to lego clubs, robotics and soap, to welders and beer-makers there is sure to be something for everyone. The event celebrates the Maker Movement and highlights creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness.
